The Lethbridge College will host a groundbreaking ceremony on April 24 on it’s 65 million dollar Trades & Technology renovation. The three year project will seek to enlarge and upgrade the wing of the college allowing for more students in the trades and technology sector. These areas include welding, carpentry, concrete, wind turbine, heavy equipment, among others.
The project, managed by Stuart Olson Dominion will seek to use Lethbridge trades workers in the three phases in which the timing of construction is vital as classes and programs will continue throughout the duration of demolition and construction.
The Lethbridge Construction Association is working closely with the college in this initiative which recently arranged a project information meeting between LCA members, the college, general contractor, and architect. LCA looks forward to seeing more qualified trades people coming through the college to provide a quality source of labour for its members.
